Holiday Card Open Houses

Open House 2008

It’s getting to that time of year when you get your family photo taken. And then you order holiday cards to send out to everyone telling them about your year and showing off your cute family. I have some new holiday cards to choose from this year. Still have the ones available from last year and am excited about some of the different designs being offered in 2008. My open house invite is an actual holiday card design (verbiage will be changed to fit the holidays).

I am offering 2 open houses this year. A Saturday Open House on November 1st at 11 a.m. to noon. The second is November 6th from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. You will receive a special discount for attending. If you would like to place an order before the 1st open house you can take a look at my store and see what I have already added on so far, but keep in mind I will have another 5 or so designs with the look like that above (those are not available yet).  So if you still want to order and you don’t live in the land of the Longhorns (Texas) then send a comment or email me to get the discount before November 1. Specials will be run for the new designs coming out on the 1st.  There is no obligation to purchase cards if you attend the open house, just a promise of fun, food and the option to view the latest in holiday designs.

The fantastic photography was provided by Erin Joy Photography she will be attending the open houses and offering special holiday photo packages. You must come meet her, she does great work and is wonderful with kids!

Hopping you way for Easter

Since Easter is coming up quickly I decided I better get some designs done. So far I have 3 designs. Hope to do more before it gets too close,  but any of these would work for Spring Baby Announcements too.  They are on my store. Erin Joy Photography

As many of you know I work with Erin Joy Photography on a regular basis. Erin takes beautiful photos and they always look great on my announcements or invitation designs. I recently recreated her logo and business cards.  Take a look at her new logo and check out her site. If you are in the area give her a call to have your family or kids photos taken. Photoshop class

Do you ever want to change your images, but are not sure how to make them outstanding? Here are some examples of some things I just play around with in photoshop. I can teach you how to do some fun things with your photographs. And how to make really great blog headers. We all want our blogs to look super cool right?! So I have decided to do a class because of the many requests I have received.  The class runs for 5 weeks, each class is 2 hours. It is out of my home and you will have homework assignments. I might be able to work with you if only own Photoshop elements! If you are interested leave a comment and I will contact you about the cost.  I am planning on starting the class either February 26th or March 4th at 7pm. Planning on doing the classes on Tuesdays.  It will be fun and you will learn a lot to help you look like you are an amazing photographer.

Welcoming in 2008

Thank you to all of our clients in 2007 and previous years.  It was a great year and we are excited for 2008.  We are going to be doing some exciting things.  In addition to designing corporate identity we are also trying out some new things this year.  With Valentine’s Day coming up designs will be out soon for a few family Valentine’s cards and also cards for your children to have custom designed to hand out to their classmates.  It is something that I have yet to see any other company doing and we are really excited about this new introduction. It is sure to be a hit and the envy of all the other kids.  St.Patrick’s Day is another fun holiday to send out greetings and wishes for Good Luck.  Custom designs can be done there as well as the other holidays.  We will be designing Graduation announcements for all levels.  Pre-school going into Kindergarden. High School and College.  Over the next few months new mommy prints (calling cards) will be coming out.  Of course we still do baby shower invitations and baby birth announcements (new designs on their way), but if you have a specific look in mind then custom designs will be available as well.  Do you have a birthday party or other celebration coming up?  If you think of a theme, then we can design it and include your childs or whomevers photo. Christmas cards will be another big thing for 2008 as well, we will start to get people excited for those at the end of the summer, so keep checking for more details.

Another new addition will be Adobe Photoshop classes which will be offered to help you edit your photos and learn some fun tips for using your images for blogging purposes.  The first class will start end of February, enrollment will be coming up soon.

 Is Mommy Prints ready for 2008?  YES!  We are jumping into 2008 with both feet and are expecting a great year.  Come experience the excitement with us and we love to know if you are spreading the word about our growing business, please leave your comments so we know who is keeping up with Mommy Prints, we love to hear from you.

Open Houses Coming UP!

Here’s the update, we are going to be holding a few more open houses.  Next weekend we’ll be showing the cards at the home of Amy P.  So you can look through and get them at a discounted rate.  If you would like to do that then email me your photos. 

 Another opportunity to order will be at a Holiday Open House that will be available showing off several different mom run companies…a great chance to get some unique holiday gifts.  Tuesday, November 27th at 7 p.m. and Thursday November 29th at 10 a.m.  It will be at my friend Kim’s home.  Let me know if you are interested and I can send you the information.  Again you can do some saving by ordering from me at either of these events.

Central High School Craft Show

Today we were at the CHS Craft Show, it was a wonderful experience and a great way to get to meet a lot of local supporters.  A special thanks to all of my friends and family who jumped in to help out.  We had a lot of positive reactions and are excited to welcome our new clientele to the world of Mommy Prints.  Thank you to everyone for helping make our first craft show a great experience.  Here are a few photos of our booth at the show.  Enjoy and thanks for your continued support.

The Open House

Hey Y’all,
